Intégration De TimeControl Et Microsoft Project Server
Microsoft released the very first version of Project Server in early 2002. TimeControl was already integrated with it. HMS has continuously upgraded and extended our link with Microsoft's Project Server since the first beta version. We continue to do so today.
The relationship between HMS Software and Microsoft stretches back to the mid 1990's. TimeControl released its first link to Microsoft Project in 1995 making HMS Software one of the longest standing Microsoft Project partners in the world. When linking to Microsoft Project Server, TimeControl's functionality makes possible a project cost control system at an enterprise level.
TimeControl provides the auditable financial controls that a project scheduling timesheet typically would not. Linking Project Server to TimeControl allows an integration of both project scheduling and financial functions such as payroll, human resources, billing, cost control and earned value. TimeControl's link to Project Server can be run on demand or on schedule and even includes an event module to install with Project Server to automatically update necessary TimeControl information every time you publish your project
TimeControl integration with Project Server occurs at several levels. You can integrate the data bidirectionally. Projet, task information, assignment and resource information is sent to TimeControl. Hours, costs, expenses, task and assignment progress and estimate to complete is returned to Project Server. The integration is extremely flexible supporting even the movement of user defined field data. When users log in to TimeControl they can optionally see any tasks to which they were assigned and add hours to those tasks and any other project or non-project tasks to which they have been given access.
Secondly, the TimeControl interface can be integrated directly into the Project Web Access interface in a SharePoint webpart, allowing the TimeControl timesheet to be completed in an uninterrupted user experience.
Finally the data from TimeControl can be included within Project Dashboards using the SharePoint BI interface.
When TimeControl is integrated with Project Server, some of the functionality within TimeControl that becomes of particular interest includes:
Business Validation Rules
You can create an unlimited number of validations rules to test timesheet data integrity before it is ever released for approval. Rules for hours per day or week, overtime, sick leave, appropriate rates and more can be established for selected users or all.
Support multiple Project versions
TimeControl can integrate simultaneously with multiple versions of Project Server, Project Desktop and other scheduling tools. Need a single timesheet when you have Project Server 2019, Project Online and Project Standard all at the same time? TimeControl can do that.
TimeControl includes extensive Rate Table functionality with an unlimited number of rates and rate values per person. Need to charge a different rate for one project vs. another? TimeControl does that easily.
TimeControl includes both supervisor and line item approvals in a unique trademarked process.
Manage banks of personal time
TimeControl allows you to track vacation time, sick leave, personal time and other banks of time including banked overtime.
TimeControl's TimeRequestTM function allows the request for future time off to be approved, tracked and put right into the timesheet.
much, much more...
As a Microsoft certified partner with the Project and Portfolio Management competency, HMS carries the skills to know what Project and Project Server require when integrating with an auditable financial timesheet. TimeControl is the timesheet system that fills that need.
TimeControl and Microsoft Project
TimeControl has had a link to Project Server since it's original release in 2002 and up through every version of Project Server since including Project Online. This webcast is designed to show you see how TimeControl and Project Servr fit together. HMS Software was recognized by Microsoft as a "First to Market" partner in 2006 for our work in integrating TimeControl with Project and Project Server 2007. This presentation shows a demonstration of TimeControl working within the Project Server Web Access interface and show how TimeControl data is integrated into Project and Project Server.

Best Practices when linking TimeControl with Microsoft Project Server or Project Online
Microsoft Project Server has evolved since its first release in 2002. During all that time, TimeControl has had a link to Project Server. HMS was one of the first organiztions in the world to create such a link and we have updated it for every version since the first release. There are many benefits to using TimeControl as the source timesheet for Project Server and many things to consider in the configuration of both TimeControl and Project Server. This white paper outlines some of the best practices we have identified in our work with numerous organizations who are enjoying the benefits of integrating Project Server and TimeControl.OUVRIR CAHIER BLANC

Decentralized Project Management and Centralized Timesheets
When people talk about Enterprise Project Management software, they tend to think about a large centralized system either on premise or online which houses all project data. For many reasons, not every organization is able or willing to deploy such a centralized system. There are millions of licenses of stand alone project management systems in organizations and these stand alone systems continue to serve project managers well. But what does that mean for the centralized requirement for timesheets? This white paper looks at this business challenge and points out the benefits of using decentralized project systems and a centralized TimeControl timesheet all linked together. This is impossible with other timesheet systems as TimeControl has by far the most integrations with project systems in the industry.OUVRIR CAHIER BLANC
