HMS Announces Record 2001
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Montréal, Québec - January 15, 2002 - HMS Software announced today record results for 2001. HMS Sales grew over 18% for fiscal 2001 with the most significant growth attributed to its flagship software product, TimeControl, according to Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS.
"We're delighted with our 2001 results," says Vandersluis, "To achieve growth in the software industry this year is unusual so we are particularly pleased."
Of particular note, among HMS Software's 2001 results was a remarkable increase in sales of TimeControl , HMS Software's enterprise timekeeping system for project environments.
"TimeControl sales grew by 46% over last year," says Vandersluis. "The August release of our all-web version, TimeControl 4, has gotten a tremendous reception. Growth increased consistently throughout the year and we now expect even more substantial growth in 2002."
TimeControl growth over the last three years has been nothing less than spectacular remarks Vandersluis. "With this year's numbers, TimeControl has grown an incredible 2,156% since 1996".
The challenging economy facing all high-tech firms may actually be helping HMS, Vandersluis reports. "When the economy is challenged, firms must try to be more efficient. This is causing an entire movement towards project-oriented management. As a project system, TimeControl is designed to identify not just how much time is being spent by an organization but also what project and even what task it is being spent on. Managing an organization using TimeControl helps in allocating resources more efficiently."
HMS's worldwide dealer network contributed to the 2001 expansion with a marked increase in sales from Europe. "The growth in sales from our European dealers is very encouraging," says Ermy Valenti, HMS's Director of Sales. "In particular, the UK and the Netherlands posted huge gains."
HMS added some prestigious clients to its growing list of TimeControl users this year, including the Canadian Federal Government, Motorola, GE Access, the Atlanta Airport, Organon, C-Mac, Talvest, Inventure, Alcan, Tennant and UPS Logistics. Some existing users who made significant expansions to their use of TimeControl this year included Credit Suisse/First Boston, Mercury Marine and Rochester Gas & Electric.
"We're well poised for significant growth in 2002," says Vandersluis. "The level of customer satisfaction from our existing clients is high and is resulting in large numbers of sales based primarily on referrals. Many of our existing clients are expanding their use of TimeControl and we are signing more new clients than ever before."
